Or something like that. Hello, everyone! How are you? I pray that all is well and that life is treating you amazingly! So yes, the snow and the wind came with its gusto and thus we were accumstomed to wear all our appearal...
So, here is a list of the items that I wore for a two hour, very cold, knocking period. :D
1. Top and bottom thermals.
2. 2 pairs of socks on each foot.
3. White shirt and tie.
4. A nice cozy sweater.
5. A nice big snow jacket.
6. A hat, scarf, and gloves.
And to wrap it all up...
7. A wonderful message about the Savior Jesus Christ at each door. :D Wonderful isn't it? The cold is not that bad if you prepare for it well and just enjoy those moments! So yes here in the "Great White North", to which I firmly believe now, all is well and we are blessed. :D
So this week, nothing to much happened. Elder Turner seemed to enjoy his time in good old Cape Breton. One thing that I have truly loved about this part of the world is at sunset. No matter how bad or good the day was (weather wise) you will always see a purple, orange, and a rather glorious sunset. This just caps off the day. You see it and just stop and just take it all in. So when my time comes for me to leave this place, I will miss that little part of the day.
So as you can imagine we have had a lot of dark and gray days. Now after a little while of it you just get a tad grumpy, and everyone else does too. But, the sun came through on friday, and let me tell you how happy I was. I literally bouncing off the streets, smiling, and kept talking about the sunshine. I do feel bad for Elder Marks (we went on exchanges, and if you recall Elder Marks was my MTC companion. Cool huh? :D) for he had to have me blabber about the sun for that two hour period! I was so happy! The sun was shining, people were glowing, friendly, and just enjoying that wonderous morning! What a day! :D It is funny how that the little things make me so happy! :D
We had a great lesson with Kimi this week. We just have been reading with him in the Book of Mormon. And we got to the chapters that talks about the tree of life. So kimi, having all his chinese new year festive decroations out, I used them to my advantage. I made a literal visual of the tree of life. I set up a stack of cups with a place mat to make this tree of life and used this plates with chinese masks on it for our main characters. It was a powerful lesson and Kimi saw how important it was to really step on to that path where the Iron rod is. Kinda crazy huh? I believe that it was a great lesson and that if helped further progress him. He has those deep questions to think about but I know that all will be okay with that man.
Byron and Ben are doing really great. They are reading and are still praying to know if the Book of Mormon is true. I am doing my best to help these people out and they are doing amazing. We haven't seen to much of them this week, because of their work schedule. But all is well, and again, the Lord does provide a way. :D Thank heavens.
As I was talking to Kimi, and he was throwing himself into the vision of the tree of life, I was relating it to myself as well. How important it was to put myself into that vision. Have you ever put your self into that tree of life scenario? If you haven't, I suggest you do asap. It truly is an eye-opener. I mean, no matter how many times you have read it, it will still help you see what really is going on in the world. How important it is to "cling" to that word of God. The Spirit taught me that you don't cling to that word of God then well, Elder Hardy, you are either lost in the river or the darkness. What will the Spirit teach you? How, inspired quesion right there. So I suggest that we put ourselves into that vision and see where it leads us. Will you do that for me? Thank you!
